Kara’s Story – Brain Fog, Fatigue, Indecision

I have felt for many years that something just was not right. Most women my age seemed to be full of energy and can handle their kids, a husband and a job with a few hairy days here and there but overall they seemed fine. I noticed that I felt much different. I was easily overwhelmed by things that I should have been able to handle. Several events happened that caused me to know something wasn’t right.

On four separate occasions I completely forgot to pick up my dear friends kids at school after I said I would. I am lucky they are still my friends!! I thought brain fog was just a way of life for me. When I told my OB/GYN about this he was ready to send me to another doctor that would prescribe antidepressants. I knew I did not want to start down that road.

Other issues for me were the incredible fatigue and the lack of being able to make decisions.  I couldn’t decide what to cook for dinner let alone make big decisions. This was unsettling for me as I felt I had been better at change and new commitments. My mother and husband have told me for years that I was sleeping too much, in fact when I told them that I often would take a quick nap in my car during the day while out making sales calls they were shocked and worried. I needed a nap when I was getting 10 hours of sleep a night! I again talked with my OB/GYN and they ran the thyroid test and assured me I was in the normal range and that I was fine. This sent me to the edge because how could they tell me how I felt! I didn’t feel fine at all. I knew there had to be another answer. This caused me to start my search for an answer.

As fate would have it I was invited to hear Dr. Hotze speak at someone’s home. I could not believe it, he was talking about me! I decided to make an appointment and see if he could help. I was so overwhelmed that the staff and doctors at Dr. Hotze’s office would actually listen to me about how I felt and not just read the stats of how I should feel. I truly felt as though I was being included in my health care and solutions.

I started the program on a Saturday morning and I may be an unusual case, as I have been told, but I felt better on Sunday! I will never forget watching tennis and folding clothes and looking through the sliding glass door and it was as if someone moved the screen to one side!!! I felt my mind clear just that quick. I spent the day cleaning out some drawers and shopping with my sister. I just could not believe it.

Another true benefit that I have had is that my cholesterol has really declined and since there is a history of heart attacks in my family this is a real comfort. The increase in my energy level has helped me to not only go to the gym but actually stay there and work out!! I know this is great for my overall health as well.

The way I feel has helped in my job too. Since I started with Dr. Hotze’s program I have become a top producer in my company. I can sell with a renewed energy and enthusiasm!

But one of my greatest joys is sharing how I feel with my friends and family. I can not express how great it is to know that I have impacted someone’s life by leading them to Dr. Hotze’s practice.

My story may not be that dramatic but it was just a slow decline in my energy, brain function and really my total health. I was worried that I would not have the energy to keep up with the demands of my job and especially my husband and sons. I will be forever grateful to the staff and especially Dr. Hotze for having the insight and courage to stand up and treat people to wellness and not just treat and cover up symptoms.

Thanks for my giving me my life back!

I wish the best for you and your pursuit of better health.
