Hotze Health & Wellness Center named a finalist for Houston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work 2

Houston (October 21, 2013) – Hotze Health & Wellness Center (HHWC) has been named one of the Best Places to Work 2013 by the Houston Business Journal (HBJ).  The esteemed section, Best Places to Work 2013, was published Friday, October 18, 2013 honoring 106 companies that scored more than 85 out of 100 points. This is the 13th year for the HBJ Best Places to Work competition and HHWC’s first time to place. The awards ceremony luncheon was held on October 16, 2013 at the Hilton Americas hotel in downtown Houston where it was announced that HHWC placed 32nd in the category that required companies to have between10-100 employees.

To qualify for the HBJ’s Best Places to Work 2013, a company must have its headquarters in the Houston area. The employees of nominated companies were surveyed by Quantum Workplace, which issued each company a score based on employees’ answers. All employees were given the opportunity to take the confidential survey online. Employees evaluated their companies in areas such as goals and leadership, communication and support, advancement opportunity and skill development, recognition and compensation, tolerance and flexibility and embracing innovation and ideas. A company must have scored at least an 85 on its employee surveys to be named a finalist.
