seditve, anestisia + low thyroid function equals myxedema coma/crisis. my wife was misdiagnosed w/brain stem stroke/slow blood flow to the brain on eeg. but low thyroid function will cause the same condition if not restored by thyroid medication. iv T3 10-20 mcg (1-2 ml)

50 yo female in Ohio, tested in my thirties for thyroid antibodies-negative. Hypothyroidism was discovered in me from a T3 by dialysis 16mos ago by a famous endocrinologist/diabetologist. He put me on Synthroid which sent my pressure to 180/110 and made me very weak and ill. He put me on bio T3 and my T4 crashed. In the meantime, thanks to your website, I discovered my cortisol level was low. I was started on a cortisol supplement and it appears my adrenals have recovered. I finally got on armour. My T3 and T4 normalized. But my heart rate soared and my TSH bottomed out (<0.1). I still feel awful. No energy, lots of fatique, poor concentration, brittle dry nails skin and hair (all of which were true when I was in high school too). However, the one important benefit of thyroid treatment, years (30+) of depression improved (and finally off all the damaging antidepressants!!). Without thyroid help, I plummet by into depression. Just FYI, I am a type 1 diabetic who has horrible cravings and can not seem to fight carbs off. My last A1C was 5.6. I'm being treated for yeast, but as soon as the diflucan is gone, or when I stop nystatin, my pain soars, particularly joint. Just found out I'm allergic to eggs, garlic and pepper. Not sure even how to eat with those limitations, but managing. Lastly, I spent my savings going to NY to see the diabetologist. Coming to your clinic would be wonderful, but I don't have the funds to get to Texas. Any suggestions? Please. I just want life to be more normal for a few years. Thanks Dr Hotze!!
