Yeast Overgrowth

Yeast overgrowth, also known as candida…it doesn’t sound that harmful, right?  Well think again.

If you are already familiar with candida or yeast overgrowth, then you probably already know that yeast overgrowth symptoms include weight gain, bloating, belching, gas, and indigestion.  While those are pesky symptoms, they are often dismissed by many as not a big deal.

It turns out that the gut houses over half the immune system and over half of the body’s detoxification system. An unhealthy GI tract can make you very sick and keep you from reaching your health and well-being goals.

Did you know that yeast produces 180 chemical toxins that can circulate in your bloodstream?  Talk about toxic overload!  That is lot of potential poisons to be released into your body and they can do a lot of damage.

These toxins impair the immune system.  This can lead to autoimmune disease, bowel disease, arthritis, allergies, fatigue, and many more serious health conditions.  The toxins released by yeast may also interfere with your hormones.

There are no television commercials warning us of the health dangers of yeast overgrowth.  Your doctor has probably not even brought up the topic of yeast with you, so take time to educate yourself on how to keep your GI tract healthy by doing the yeast-free diet. Not only will you have a happy gut, but you will also reap many health benefits as well!
