What a wonderful day I experienced on December 19, 2005. The day I finally went to the Hotze Health and Wellness Center. I had been listening to Dr. Hotze on the radio during my lunch breaks for over a year and felt like he was talking directly to me and describing my symptoms. It took me some time to go to the Hotze web site and conduct some additional research. I took all the self tests to see how I ranked, even the menopause and testosterone tests, although I am only a 31 year old female. The test gave me the understanding that I was not alone in experiencing certain symptoms. Plus my results from the testosterone and menopause section, verified that the Hotze Health Center was a reputable center because as expected I did not exhibit any symptoms.
I still did not make an appointment to the Hotze Center because it was more than I wanted to pay. In the mean time, I was getting acupuncture done, taking a multi-vitamin, some other herbs, and applying hormonal creams. This regiment was becoming expensive, I did not obtain all of the results I wanted, and I moved from Houston to Los Angeles. When I moved I did not look for another acupuncturist because I thought I would be calmer due to leaving the workforce and becoming a house wife. I did try to stop utilizing herbs and hormonal creams, but I still needed them to keep my system functioning.
A few months ago I asked my husband for a special Christmas present, a visit to the Hotze Health Center, and with a little explanation he said YES! Even with my husband as support, I hesitated to call the Hotze Health Center. I was afraid of not getting better. During a sleepless night I got out of bed at 3:00 AM and started writing all of my health problems like low energy, restless sleep, digestion problems, hormone imbalance, etc. At 9 AM that same morning I went ahead and called to make my appointment.
With the program my energy levels are much higher. I rise in the morning without feeling sluggish and tired. When I sleep, I truly sleep. I no longer feel more tired in the morning than I did the night before, nor am I taking so many naps. With my digestion, I do not feel bloating and discomfort which was normal before. The best thing is feeling I have control over my state of being and my hormones are not dictating how I feel. Another big change has been my body temperature. My hands and feet do not get as cold and I now see my husband wearing a light jacket while I feel fine with just a blouse. What a difference from just two months ago.
I am still on my yeast-free diet and I have experienced some difficult days due to craving foods I cannot eat but nothing that a little discipline and a supportive husband cannot overcome. I can tell my digestion is much better and my cravings have dropped significantly. I look forward to finishing the diet in two weeks.
Taking the prescribed pills was challenging at first, but I eventually settled into a routine. The pills helped me drink my eight glasses of water per day. In the past, I would try to drink my eight glasses of water but somehow I was always short by two or three glasses. This does not happen anymore, I sometimes even have more water.
The staff at the Hotze Health & Wellness Center is truly professional and they make you feel like a person that matters and not some patient that they want to get out of their hair. I had never been to a consultation where a doctor sits down and writes things out for me, with patience and understanding while making sure that I understand, but Dr. Ellsworth did just that. I even had the doctor call me after-hours to assure me that a symptom I was having was just part of the cleansing process. It is so comforting to feel like you are not a burden and the staff genuinely wants to assist and make sure that they help you promptly.
