My sister had her thyroid removed in February of 2017. Since then she was diagnosed with depression, pseudodementia, schizophrenia and finally dementia. Her levels have been in the 40s and 50s. On 200mcg of Synthroid they drop to .075, too low. Our doctors cant figure it out and she is now being placed in a nursing home with severe dementia. Is there any treatment? Is this reversible?
