Cardiac Health Screen

To determine your risk of heart attack or stroke, you need to monitor more than your cholesterol and blood pressure levels. Hotze Health & Wellness Center’s Cardiac Health Screen is a safe, easy and noninvasive ultrasound scan that allows the physician to look inside the arteries for plaque buildup, or atherosclerosis. The scan is a quick 5-10 minute test performed with a handheld ultrasound probe. The carotid artery is scanned on both sides of the neck to detect the hidden buildup of plaque. If atherosclerotic plaque is found, your physician can offer proper solutions, like dietary changes, lifestyle modifications and other treatment options.

Heart disease is reversible. Ask your physician about the Cardiac Health Screen to help decrease your risk of a heart attack or stroke.
