Sugar Substitutes for Coffee/Soda Alternatives

So now you may be wondering, “How am I going to drink my coffee without sugar? How am I going to give up soda?  I need that sweet taste.” Well, you’re in luck, because there are some natural, safe sugar substitutes available.  The best substitutes for sugar are stevia, xylitol or erythritol. All are natural sweeteners that can easily be substituted for any of the sugars listed above.  Add some stevia to your coffee.  There are lots of natural soda alternatives on the market today, as well.  Try Zevia instead of that Dr. Pepper. You’ll be surprised at how good it tastes!

Dr. Hotze discusses stevia as a healthy substitute for sugar:

It’s always a good idea to cut as much sugar as you can from your diet for your overall health. If you’re ready to quit sugar altogether and rid your body of yeast, then consider doing a yeast-free eating program.
